NOMAD foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political public welfare social organization based in Kathmandu working on youth’s professional development, youth empowerment, environment conservation, vocational education and livelihood promotion of youths of rural communities of Nepal. NOMAD aspires to improve the living conditions of the poor and marginalized people by adopting strategies through community initiative, participation and sensitization.

It is founded in 2021 and has been working among backward communities in the interior unreached pockets in the coast of Nepal. It mainly focuses on students and youths from the remote areas of the Nepal and helps for the overall development of children who are under poverty. Youth work has an important role to play in supporting the Nepal Government’s commitment to help everyone reach their potential. It also helps to tackle poverty, reduce inequality, increase levels of educational attainment and employment, improve economic and social well-being, address health and other inequalities and increase young people’s participation in society and environmental conservation.

Mr. Abishekh Gurung is a Youth leader and Founder President of NOMAD foundation. He is an energetic, enthusiastic, active and dynamic personality & was inspired by his Grandfather who was British Solider. Over the years, he has built good relationships with youths, donors, and other stakeholders at local, national and international levels.
